Sorry this is so late, just a really long day.
Dr. Luna gave her the OK to go home this morning. An ambulance was provided by a group of close friends and we were off to Guayabitos around 1PM local time. The trip was easy for her and a couple of hours later she's sitting in a wheelchair just provided that afternoon by another group of friends. We all sat around and visited as local friends began to drop by. We had pizza for dinner and then began working on the highly entertaining exercise of how to use the bathroom when you can't walk or stand on two legs. Still working out the details, but it's surprising how the basics can be the hardest issues, when you can't really move on at least one leg or do a pull-up. ;-)
We have a local doctor doing some bandage changes over the next three weeks then back to Dr. Luna for a checkup after New Years.
She continues to enjoy hearing about all the folks sending their love and condolences. I should have her back online and talking long distance via Skype in a few days. If I can convince her to check email I might even share her new email address.
Planning for a benefit concert to help with her medical expenses is still underway. More info as it develops may be found on the Jaltemba Sol site. Link on the right.
That's all for now. Take care...
